Do you sympathise with Aunt Jennifer? What is the attitude of the speaker towards Aunt Jennifer?

I sympathise with Aunt Jennifer. Her life hasn't been a happy one even though she is to be blamed for her unhappiness as well. She dreams of being free and fearless like her tigers but feels the burden of her unhappy marriage weighing her down. If she had tried to fight like her fierce tigers, for her... ...more

She dreams of being free and fearless like her tigers but feels the burden of her unhappy marriage weighing her down. If she had tried to fight like her fierce tigers, for her wants and opinions in her life, she might feel less helpless.

The speaker's attitude is one of irony and with pity for Aunt Jennifer.

Sometimes interviewers ask celebrities personal questions that can embarrass them. It is highly unprofessional and inconsiderate. However, this behaviour comes with assumptions and stereotypes accompanying fame and publicity. It is presumed that if a person steps into the spotlight, he or she is putting up their personal life also up for scrutiny. But it isn't right or fair as they're famous because they've done their job well or in some instances made mistakes.

This blur of the lines between private and public life increases further when the audience and public encourage it. If people didn't show such interest towards gossiping about others' experiences, what would fuel the press to ask such questions?

In some cases, personal questions are asked to reveal the hypocrisy or mistakes of the person in question. However, even in such situations, etiquette is to be maintained, and the person shouldn't be targeted with a provocative or hurtful question.

The right to privacy is to be respected, and whether one is a celebrity or not, one should stand up for oneself and others against the violation of this right.

I would prefer print for publishing an interview because it provides for a permanent record that can be revisited and even reproduced on other mediums.

While the content in print might be slow to come out as compared to TV or radio, it will reduce the chances of mistakes and even provide for a detailed discussion about the topic which can't be achieved with TV and radio as there are a time limitation and the necessity to interrupt programmes for advertising.

Print can be translated into various languages and reach all corners of the world or country. Whereas, with TV, language, the channel, the timing could limit the reach of content far and wide.

Finally, print is the most economical of the three mediums and can be afforded and accessed by most.
