IdentityI am a Hindustani classical vocalist, performer, and music educator with over five years of teaching experience. My journey in vocal music spans over eight years under the able tutelage and guidance of Pt. Mukul Kulkarni, a renowned and distinguished vocalist of the Agra-Gwalior Gharana. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Music from BVDU School of Performing Arts, Pune. Also, I am honored to be a recipient of the prestigious CCRT Scholarship for Young Artists, awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Additionally, I have cleared the coveted UGC NET Exam on the first attempt.
Beyond my expertise in classical music, I am a self-taught guitarist and have had the privilege of playing and recording complete guitar pieces for two Marathi singles under the ArtMyBreath label.
My teaching repertoire includes classical Khayal as well as semi-classical forms such as thumris, dadras, tappas, bhajans, and abhangs. I am also adept at teaching devotional and Bollywood songs, focusing on compositions rooted in classical music.
For the past five years, I have been teaching Hindustani Classical Vocal Music to students of all age groups from India and abroad, both online and in person. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have varied learning goals, whether it be developing a new hobby, pursuing music seriously, or aspiring to build a career in it.
My teaching style blends essential traditional techniques and my own holistic approach to learning music. I draw inspiration from everyday life to create relatable and engaging lessons, emphasizing voice preparation through various vocal exercises to ensure that students can handle any genre with confidence.
