These letters are used to represent the basic set of speech sounds of a language, especially the set of letters from A to Z. There are five letters a, e, i, o, u which help to make vowel sounds and the remaining letters produce consonant sounds.

is Bengali language different from Hindi language?

Hi, yes. Bengali or Bangla is an eastern language whereas Hindi is of north India. Please spend a good time listening to these two languages and you will find the predominant 'sh' sound in most of the words in Bengali. It sounds more similar to Assamese and Oriya.
