At Silver Linings, we firmly believe that Mental Health is more than just the absence of mental illness. Physical health and mental health are two sides of the same coin. Being healthy refers to a state of well being in which every individual realizes their own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, and is able to contribute to the society in a productive manner. Just like physical illnesses hamper the process of leading a fully optimal life, any form of mental upset can also prohibit us from leading a well-balanced life.
Psychotherapy and / or Counselling, is meant for all those who want to enhance the quality of their life and move from their current state of functioning to a well balanced and optimal stage of functioning. Conditions such an anxiety, depression, thoughts of suicide, relationship issues, issues with academics or friends, and others, are just a manifestation of the imbalances in life and can be easily addressed through effective counselling by trained professionals.
In Goa, there is a lot happening in the field of mental health and as inhabitants of this beautiful state we are truly blessed at that front. Over the years, Shobhika through her exposure in the mind care field has noticed that, there is a dearth of quality mental health care in South Goa.
