To paint means throwing your emotions on a material, just mixing the colours and feel the paints ,the colours, But most important is how to paint and what to paint. And for understanding that you must know what to draw and how to draw . In my experience students must know the details of drawing first and then with experience you can directly paint on canvas or paper or any material. I have seen many people painting directly but all they can do is only starting the painting and they don't know how to end the painting and eventually can't complete it. I am teaching drawing, sketching and painting since 4 years , nationally,internationally, and I also take commissioned artworks and I am an artist too. So being an artist and teacher I am pretty sure I can make you learn sketching and painting
