Sir has already helped me immensely by correcting my ill-techniques and posture (some of which I developed earlier), along with explaining the music theory little by little, thereby making the lessons very interesting and interactive. Will the wood used to make Violin influence the output of sound coming from Violin?

Absolutely! There lies the difference in sounds for a Stradivari and a locally made one! And even worse are factory-made violins!

What is the approximate time to play a song in violin?

It's a bit tricky to answer. It depends on the student's interest, his/her dedicated practice, and his/her keenness to learn, which in turn depends on the teacher's encouragement as well.
