If A:B = 4:5, B:C = 6:7 and C:D = 14:15, find A:D?

(B/C ) * (C/D)= (6/7) * (14/15) => B/D = 4/5 => (A/B)*(B/D)=(4/5)*(4/5) => A/D = 16/25.

What are the properties of tangents?

First derivative of the equation of the curve can give you slope of the tangent at that point.
