"This course answered many questions I have always had about spirituality, regarding myself and bring a lot of light and clarity into my spiritual path. The philosophy classes were highly individualized and unique, where I had a lot of opportunities to question many things. Krishna is a great teacher, whose teachings satisfied my intellectual and spiritual needs. Smrithi with her food and cooking classes and also Hema with her Hatha Yoga classes cared perfectly for my physical well being. I enjoyed the experience so much to live in a real Indian village, with real Indian people, spending time with schoolkids and learn about the Indian tradition and way of living. A great thanks to all of you, Krishna, Smrithi, Hema, Shoba and Smrithi's wonderful mother. I wish you all the best for “Shrimath Yoga” and hope I can return to “the Yoga village” one day." "

"My experience at Shrimath was profoundly enriching. I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to deepen his/her knowledge and practice of Yoga. I undertook the 200h Yoga Teacher Training Course which by far exceeded my already high expectations. Shrimath's approach to Yoga is characterised by deep knowledge and respect for the tradition of Yoga. Krishna is one of very few people I've met that can explain complex concepts in a concise and consistent manner. Answers somehow flow out of him. Hemma's classes were also very well structured and she paid close attention to all three of us. She was clear and specific about everything. The hospitality was impeccable and the food delicious. It felt like being hosted by distant relatives that we just hadn't met until now."

"The following is a brief review of what I learned in the week long Yoga Nidra training at Shrimath Yoga outside of Bangalore, India and directed by Krishna. The setting was so appropriate for training in deep relaxation. My most important insight was that we can only lead people to states that we have experienced ourselves. Simply reading the script for a session is not enough. One must have the awareness that comes from deep and honest experience. I cannot imagine a better setting for this learning. Surrounded by forest full of birds and a field where sheep and cows quietly grazed, I was able to sink into the peace and stillness in a way that I have never felt in my hectic American lifestyle. Lulled by songs of birds and the gentle sounds of an Indian village, I relaxed into the simple schedule of an ashram lifestyle and found an inner landscape I had rarely known. The other important insight was the nature of the Gurukul experience. The benefits of the individual attention from a master were incredible. Even in my deepest sadhana training, I had been one of a large group taught by fellow disciples. Our time with the guru was only in satsang. To have long, searching conversations with someone who was focused on my specific needs and issues was remarkably transformative."

"I want to thank you all team of Shrimath- Krisha for interesting philosophy, chanting and life lessons, Hema for beautiful yoga classes, Smrithi for very tasty food (now i am addicted to idli and dosa :)). The course is structured in more retreat way - and its good because we had time to enjoy the nature. Also it was great experience to go to rural school- to teach Indian children. I had a great time and i now i am more flexible, balanced and is able to practice and teach yoga others. Thank you again!"

"I have been trying to come up with the perfect review to make sure that Shrimath gets the praise it deserves. There is a reason that this place has 5 stars across the board, and my words can't do it justice. If you are looking for an experience where you will learn more than the basics, and if you aspire to have more than just a superficial knowledge of the spiritual and philosophical background of yoga, this is the place for you. The environment facilitates that, as it is located in a beautiful rural area where you wake up to the sounds of birds and wildlife every morning, and get to help with planting and gardening, and give back to the local village by hanging with the kids at school. Each part of my experience was beautiful and allowed for such a full and whole practice. Be prepared to put in the work, to ask questions, to contemplate and integrate the lessons in your downtime, and enjoy the fulfillment you will receive. Krishna is incredibly wise, has a gift for explaining concepts and makes sure that each individual is catered to in terms of what they want to gain from their journey. Hema is patient and kind, and teaches the postures, making sure that each person correctly does them. Smrithi makes all of the meals with fresh ingredients, and with a ton of love. There is good energy packed into every bite. Her laugh is contagious, and she warmly welcomes everyone into her home as if they are her own children. This team is the most hospitable, kind, and genuine trio, and it is because of them that this experience was so grand. I learned more about myself during the program than I was prepared for, but I was given the tools at Shrimath to expand my growth and continue on my journey, and to tackle obstacles that I meet on the path. If your goals with spiritual practice and yoga are not superficial, you will benefit immensely from your time here. Highly recommend."

"I attended the yoga teacher training course at Shrimath. The experience was fantastic and consisted of much more than deepening my yoga practice. Krishna and Hema are patient and insightful teachers and I learnt so much from them. The hospitality received from Smrithi and Shoba was so warm and welcoming. I felt at home and at peace in this wonderful environment and would recommend it to anyone. The tranquility and feel of the place is magical and very special. I will always be grateful I had the opportunity to visit. Thank you."
