IdentityI am a very passionate teacher, who likes to clear the concepts of students. Irrespective of a students proficiency due to prior poor teaching experience, I like to start not from where the course starts but where the student's understanding is crystal clear, so that his fundamentals are extremely strong to be able to navigate through new problems on his/her own.
I did my B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur in Mechanical Engineering , Worked in Industry for 36 years. I did real design and development work on machine tools and automibiles.
I have always taken pride in my ability to teach and thus followed up my academics by enrolling for a full time PhD in Solar at Shiv Nadar University, after retirement from industry. Just completed it June 2020.
For the last six months, I have been teaching at Shiv Nadar University and have completed teaching of Mechanics and Solar Energy.
Due to Covid-19, the university was forced to switch to online mode of teaching. I did this for these courses. Although there were initial hiccups, but then the process worked very smoothly and there was no compromise on learning for the students. I just had to work a little harder in putting everything on Powerpoint. Explaining it on blackboard was easier.
I developed my own methods of assignments whereby students cannot just copy as each student gets a unique problem to solve, yet I can assess them easily.
By going online, I think I can increase my productivity manifold and hence this offer.
