I believe as teachers of English language we first get our understanding of the English teaching methods and techniques that would later affect our decisions about teaching our own students long before than official academic training begins. In fact, I, as a non-native speaker of English language, have spent at least twelve years learning it, which also means twelve years observing my teachers’ methods and strategies.Therefore, I would first like to describe my experience as a learner of English, then proceed with describing my personal teaching experience and conclude with a reflection on how these influences shaped my beliefs about language and language learning. I focus on teaching conversational English rather than how to read and write in a more complex way.  Throughout my training, I implemented various strategies for engaging students in small groups and rigorous lessons. Ensured that all students comprehended the curriculam and supported students who required extra guidance.It helped them improve their communication skills, increase their confidence, become more culturally aware, expand their career opportunities, improve their academic performance, and achieve personal growth.There were absolutely no interruptions during the class, and all the students seemed immensely grateful to have me as their teacher. It was the first time, really, that a group of people had referred to me with such deference. While teaching, I feel good and happy when my students feel also good and happy because they learnt the key points of my lectures. When my students are not truly satisfied with the content of my teaching, I tell them that on the next classroom, I will explain to them what I have missed in the current lecture.The best thing about this experience is what you can learn from each other.Everyday, I was challenged by my students to learn something new. It was important to me to make a difference.In the end the experience was good and I learned a lot.
