What is ASP.Net?

asp stands for active server pages & asp.net is an engine built on top of .Net framework to process .net compliant web pages(aspx). Using asp.net we can build web applications and web services.

what is constructor ?

as the name suggest constructor is used to create instance of the class(entity). default constructor is called if not specifically defined in your class. You can use your own constructor to initialize values.

Mainly when talking about core skills in .net environment, first one should understand .net framework & c#(or vb) , architecture and how asp.net engine is built and other new components are built on top of the framework as wrapper & integrated with CLR. Along with C#(primary language), ASP.net, ADO.NET with LINQ are must learn core skills along with SQL SERVER basics from DBMS point of view are needed. As per requirement of different types of applications like for web apps MVC, JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY & WPF, WCF for desktop applications are needed to be learned.
