To manipulate the DOM we have directives in Angular JS like ng-show, ng-hide etc. Basically a directive is used to generate the dynamic content i.e., HTML at run time.

DOM manipulation is achieved by directives in angular js , directives generally introduce a new behavior to DOM ng-show,ng-if are the predefined directives in angular js, we can also write our own (custom) directives.
