I personally teach 3 types of mandalas - traditional, abstract, geometric. Geometric Art is best advisable for students. This style of art uses some basic mathematical calculations that inculcate a sense of importance for Mathematics. This includes using geometric shapes as a basic design layout / mono-tangles / duo-tangles. Though geometric - gives an organic finish to artworks.
