CAD stands for Computer Aided Drafting and there are many CAD softwares available in market and AutoCAD is one of the CAD software.
Among others AutoCAD is widely used software, almost everyone including starting from individuals to large scale industries uses AutoCAD.
Bottomline: CAD is term used for softwares like AutoCAD, BricsCAD, Cadian etc..., which means one can not comapre between CAD or AutoCAD, but yes you can comapre between CAD competitors.
