Hi Ragini, recruiters does not want to hear your back ground and from where you belonging from. They seek for why you are here and why should they hire you ? Tell your name with smile and forget about all educational stuff, background stuff because it had already been mentioned in your CV. My husband is in software industry and he has been taking interviews since years now. He noticed couple of things: 1. Thinking process. How far an interviewee can think 2. Capable to deal with client ( if required ) or with colleagues. 3. Obviously technical round comes up. 4. Capability to handle pressure. Some times criteria may change based on designation. You should focus on your knowledge, explore your achievements, show them you're capable enough to handle work pressure, show them your beyond the limit think, show them your positive attitude, ask him about your role if you get selected, research a lot for the company where you're going for the interview, show your skills (communication too ), don't show emotions and beg for the job, show only who you're and what you learn since decades and finally ends with smile and greetings. I hope I did max out of me. Don't get demotivated never --- ever in life. Happy coding ( my husband's motto ). read less

It is always preferable if you introduce yourself in the best way possible. Interview board will never be interested in listening tom your worries and problems they are mostly looking at your ability and proficiency so always be short and sweet. and be specific.
