Carnatic Music Classes

"I have joined as a beginner for carnatic. Teacher has great experience and teaching skills in vocal, Indian classic and bhajans also, as i have observed closely in the classes and enjoyed every class so far. She even make us practice the previous lessons in every class. She take class for every student separately and let them know their strengths and weakness about the way they are singing. For me this is the right place to learn music. "

Carnatic Music Classes

"Thanks to UrbanPro. I found this great tutor through you.Her strength is her strong knowledge and being patient in teaching with smiley face. She teaches Carnatic music, Bhajans and also Bhagavat Gita and many more Slokam based on your needs. Initially I was planning to send my 6 year old to her. After watching her sing and teach my kid for a class, I decided that I myself will also join the classes with my kid.We are attending her classes for 2 months so far. She has helped us gain so much of confidence in singing. We are able to sing atleast 6 Bhajans and 7 Slokas in Bhagavat Gita and we are almost finishing sarali swara now. That's the speed and with perfection she is able to teach us. Another important quality about her is she is punctual and flexible if we have to take classes over the phone or online too. "

"I am largely self taught, but the two teachers I did have in the very distant past were integral to my ongoing love of learning music, now am trying to sing widening range of songs and I am eternally grateful for the peace, good feeling healing vibe music has provided me at times in my life. I have even briefly taught music myself now in an amateur way although my left handedness has limited the number of people interested in learning from me,. However without music teachers perhaps I would never have gone so far down this track. I'll never forget either of them for their love, encouragement and support of a small girl with a passion for music. Am glad to say thank you so much to Lakshmi gaaru for the teaching of music and making me to be a perfect person in a music."

Carnatic Music Classes

"Approached Mrs. Lakshmi for my daughter's Carnatic vocal classes, eight months back. My daughter was 4 years old when she started taking classes. Being young, she is sometimes either lazy or cranky during the class. Mrs. Lakshmi is always accommodative with my daughter'€™s mood and behavior. She always tried to ease the situation for my daughter and inculcate interest in her. Also her flexibility in class timings have helped us a lot in this matter. "

Carnatic Music Classes

"Approached Mrs. Lakshmi for my daughter's Carnatic vocal classes, eight months back. My daughter, 4 years old, started attending classes during her summer holidays. But as school reopened, she found difficulty in coping up with 2 classes per week.Then I took the opportunity of sharing the classes (1 class per week) with my daughter. Now I am also learning with my daughter under Mrs. Lakshmi's guidance. I am able to appreciate the basics and guide my daughter at home when she practices. This is indeed speeding up the learning process and my daughter is really enjoying what she is learning. The teacher also provides recordings of what she teaches, making it easy for the students to listen again what they have learnt during the class and practice at home. I have leveraged this opportunity to record few swaras from her as per my requirement during the class and utilize them during my practice at home. I really appreciate all the flexibility the teacher is offering to us, which is making learning Carnatic vocal a wonderful experience for us. "

She has distributed the time between basics of Carnatic vocals and bhajans very nicely. So, the classes have not turned tedious or boring. She has enormous patience to teach and has excellent voice.Until we get perfection in Sruthi, she does not move further and gives individual attention on every student. I have learnt many annamarcharya keerthanalu, bajans as well as bhagawat gita slokas with bavam from Lakshmi madam and correcting my mistakes immediately wherever it went wrong.
