Atterberg's Limits are proposed by US crop Engineer Atterberg. These are water contents which assert the soil behaviour.
1. Liquid Limit
2. Plastic Limit
3. Shrinkage Limit.
Liquid Limit: It is the water content after which soil behaves like a liquid and loses its shear strength.
Plastic Limit: It is the least water content at which the soil can be moulded into required shapes.
Shrinkage Limit: It is the least water content at which the soil is fully saturated.
Geotechnical Engineering is one of the easy subjects in engineering. The maximum score can be obtained.
