Is learning ethical hacking a bad idea for a BTech student?

Like a country... Our INDIA... I think it is not proper rather well we should learn to protect this.. I know we are already exposed GLOBALLY ... Some fights against hacking from our own end... Join BTEC and making plans to save our country men... So many poor people has lost their money and social stress.... I hate hacking for bad purposes... I love hacking for security of our COUNTRY.. 

Actually I dont think so. Every student howerver good he is in designing and developing applications need to understand few thing about how to secure their applicaitons. Only then the application they design will be safe enough for every person to use it. A effective Software Engineer has to always find flaw in his system and he should be able to patch it. In order to understand the possible flaws and negate the potential of any vulnearability in his system, ethical hacking might give him more ideas of knowing the flaws and thereby constructively he can evade such flaws in his system.

I have done Ethical Hacking Certification while i was studying engineering. It helps me a lot in many aspects and increased my interest in it a lot too. I did it as I was very much curious n interested about it. Whichever branch you are from engineering no issue in learning that my friend. Have that done and see how interesting that World is.

No, it's good to do
At the beginning time, you need to work hard very much and try to understand the basics clearly as well as nook and corner 
Because networking is a vast area to study 
When you become an expert in ethical hacking, after only you make money.
If you are a beginner at hacking means, do whatever under inexpert.

But also depend upon you brach also if you are mech., electrical, or ice, civil or any other branch rather than cs or it or don't have the interest to go into core job then you should also try this side.
