CBSE Accountancy Class 12 Syllabus

With an aim to help students tackle the board exam easily, especially for those who are studying in CBSE Board, we have come up with latest CBSE Syllabus for Class 12. In this blog, we have come up with CBSE Accountancy Class 12 Syllabus for the year 2018-2019. Preparing as per this syllabus can help you write account’s paper smoothly.

The course structure for this paper includes 3 parts, viz. Part A, Part B and Part C. Part A is divided into 2 Units: Accounting for Partnership Firms and Accounting for Companies. In Unit 1, questions related to Partnership Deed, Change in the Profit Sharing Ratio, Admission of a partner, Retirement and death of a partner and Dissolution of a partnership firm will be included. In Unit 2 questions related to Accounting for Share Capital and Accounting for Debentures will be present.

Part B is about Financial Statement Analysis. It will have two units- Analysis of Financial Statements and Cash Flow Statement. Analysis of Financial Statements will include questions from topics like Financial statements of a company, Financial Statement Analysis, Tools for Financial Statement Analysis, Accounting Ratios, Liquidity Ratios, Liquidity Ratios, Solvency Ratios, Activity Ratios and Profitability Ratios.
Cash Flow Statement will have questions which are firmly based on the paper such as its meaning, objectives and its preparation. Part C will be project work.

If students are choosing Part B as Computerized Accounting then, questions will be based on Overview of Computerised Accounting System, Accounting Application of Electronic Spreadsheet, Using Computerized Accounting System and Database Management System (DBMS). So accordingly, Part C will be practical work.
