Hello Aakash,
Keep it simple intitally as to give 5 hours per day. Slowly and steadily increase that to around 12 hours perday at the end of your 1st PU. By the time you complete your second year, it should reach around 14 hours of work per day.
4 hours of work per day, does not mean it should be continious at a stretch. it can be a chunk of 1 hour or 2 hours. But the commitment should be 5 hours per day and it should be consistent enough.
All the best.

Hope all is well, Firstly you have to go through the syllabus. But you have to focus on the selective topic first which you know very well so that you will get confidence. Also, you have to focus on conceptual based questions because these conceptual based questions are solved so quickly which will bring confidence to you. Don't take the stress and be cool always.
All the best
Practice only from those books which almost cover the entire syllabus of the exam. Students can also prefer NCERT books for preparations. Also solve the previous year question papers and compare your answers with the given solved papers. It will help you to understand your mistakes and difficult areas and after that you can work on it.
