Footballing is steadily growing in the country and you can see the growth of leagues and tournaments. Depending on where you live in India, there are states with strong footballing culture.
There is a defined pathway for coaching from the AIFF/ AFC. You can also look at UEFA or other country courses.

Find an academy that coaches near you and do a trial session. Ensure the class is correct for the age you want coaching. See if you like how the coach treats children in the class. Ask about the coach's experience and whether or not he/she has a license. Do another trial session if you want.
And if you sign up do it for at least 3 months so you ensure you learn some basics at least.
