What will you learn?
Within the field of data analytics, machine learning is a method used to devise complex models and algorithms that lend themselves to prediction; in commercial use, this is known as predictive analytics. These analytical models allow researchers, data scientist, engineers, and analysts to "produce reliable, repeatable decisions and results" and uncover "hidden insights" through learning from historical relationships and trends in the data.
Objectives:
1) Learn the basic mathematics behind machine learning
2) Move towards regression analysis and error minimization
3) Learn neural networks and data architecture
4) Learn to solve numerical and real-world problems
5) Learn to design new NN problems and find a solution in the field of engineering
6) Integrate optimisation algorithm with neural networks
7) Learn to implement product designing by integrating optimisation and neural networks
8) At the end of course, you will give Matlab codes for neural networks and optimisation for your further projects and studies.
Students are expected to bring a laptop and have basic knowledge of Matlab.
