The error is usually noticed by observing the nearby abject with one of the eye closed while watching from the other eye. The motion of that particular object is parallax shift which is for a small but noticeable error. It is common for optical equipment.

It is an error caused by people during the measuring of quantity if the observer’s eye is not at the proper angle to the scale on one is supposed to be reading. This error is called as a parallax error. It is occurred on the line of sight and is usually removed by careful observation.
