Voltage is the difference in "electric potential energy per unit charge" between two points. Voltage is the WORK to be done, upon an unit charge to move between two points, against a static electric field. Potential Difference is just the difference of Electrical Potential between two points.

Potential difference is general terms for denoting electric energy and voltage is its unit.

Its nothing but time taken to move unit charge in unit time, both voltage & pd are same for concept but use with it is different.

Volt/kilovolt is a unit of voltage. Voltage is equal to energy per unit charge. Voltmeter is a device which is used to measure voltage. POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE- In physics, the potential difference or p.d. between two points is the difference of the points' scalar potential, equivalent to the line integral of the field strength between the two points. Here are various types of potential difference related to the amount of energy required to move an object from one place to another against various types of forces. read less

There is basically no difference between the voltage and potential difference. Because electric potential difference is expressed in units of volts, it is sometimes referred to as the voltage.

Voltage is used generally to indicate the power which can be derived from appliance or what it uses. .while potential difference requires two points to be specified. Voltage is a relative term but potential difference between two points doesn't depend on third point.
