we know from our experiments that, the element attained octet ( Noble gas configuration) is always stable. but why 8 is the stability no....why not any thing else..what is the physical/ electric reason for that

Every element wants to achieve stability which is possible only when they got fulfilled outer most shell thats why elemennt wants be have noble gas configuration. In fulfilled outer most shell they neither accept or donate electron and are almost unreactive and highly stable.
