Aditya Prakash

I have been playing the guitar for the past 8 years. Learning and exploring music and it's aspects through the guitar is a lifestyle. I've been practicing on my own, [and suggest my students do the same too] .I have learned from many seasoned musicians I got to meet along the journey. I believe that one never stops learning.

I started out working with the Rock/Metal band project named 'The Distorted'. We placed 1 in many college festival competitions such as IIT Anwesha [SatanzTantrum 2012], BIT Mesra [Rhythm 2014]. We played many commercial gigs, went On-Air with radio Mirchi, and opened for Mrs. Usha Uthup in 2013.

Another project I've been working with is named 'Community Jamming'. Its mostly Acoustic, Sufi-rock and Fusion music with a social and Inspirational lyrical content. We mostly organise our own gigs in support of various social causes. We recently performed in The Faculty of Law, Delhi University and NIFT, Delhi.

Currently, I'm playing for 'The Mellow Mimes' It's a Delhi based progressive Jazz and Blues band and we are getting there.

I believe in versatility and all the genres. I've taught over a hundred students, many of them are playing in their own bands now and are in prestigious institutions, and are giving their souls and their music a meaning.
