Koustav Roy

I am a senior researcher at Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), Defence Research Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry Of Defence, New Delhi, India.
I am working on high altitude sleep physiology and cognitive impairments in humans and animal model. I am an expert on stereotaxic surgery, Intra-cerebroventricular drug administration, Adrenalectomy, Osmotic pump placement and Bone marrow transplantation. I believe that these are very necessary for cognitive neuroscience for better understanding (given the fundamental question of how the brain provides the mechanism for the mind) and development for discoveries. I have completed my bachelor degree in human physiology and Masters Degree in human physiology.
I am eagerly interested in teaching other advanced courses (e.g.,Medical Neurophysiology High Altitude physiology, advance cardiology, Sleep physiology, Brain plasticity and neurogenesis, Stem cell to neuronal network and Bone marrow transplantation, Sleep regulation, Memory formation, High altitude physiology, Medical Physiology, Physical activity of arm forces at adverse condition, Stress physiology).I have been selected as a candidate three times by International brain research organisation (IBRO) for their award (Travel grand and IBRO inspire fellowship). I also worked in a collaborative project (DIPAS and Kharagpur IIT) to making the Fatigue monitoring system for Indian Air Force,which is applied for the patient (Application No. 201711043).
