I have been teaching chemistry for last 9 months. TO teach chemistry it requires to clear all the related concepts to a particular topic. Esp. physical chemistry which holds a massive weitage in board examinations can't be completed without going into depth of a topic. I teach chemistry with the help of representations which help students to solve each and every question with ease. Course consists of 3 parts  : physical chemistry  inorganic chemistry and lastly organic chemistry. These three can be better understood by applying different methodologies. For physical chemistry..one requires to have a conceptual clarity that is only possible to  learn by going into depth of a particular topic. For instance chapter1 i.e. solutions that holds a good weitage requires not just mugging up but an indepth clarification. This chapter correlates to your 11 class also and it is further version of that knowledge .  Similarly .chapter3 ELECTROCHEMISTRY  It requires to establish a relationship between various terms like resistance conductance resistivity and conductivity ans the next part is cells that are divided into primary and secondary cells. In inorganic chemistry like p-block elements ...we need to have a complete grip of periodic table i.e to find electronic configuration and hybridisation ; these topics holds a good weitage and these concepts also be used in many other chapters also.. And help to find properties of elements based on these characteristics. Similar is the case for other chapters also.

Whole course consists of 14 chapters .. for physical chemistry one should know the mole concept that requires its application in many other chapters also and included under basic concepts of chemistry ..this with chapter 2nd holds a weightage of 11-12 marks in borad examinations and make your knowledge base ready to apply in class12 chapter solutions and electrochemistry also. Class11 is more about conceptual clarity rather than just mugging up things. Further organic part has much weitage and GENERAL ORGANIC CHEMISTRY is a topic on which whole organic chemistry stands upon...here we learn about nomenclature of different compounds and including various mechanisms. THAT helps students to solve questions with prior knowledge of GOC. Inorganic chemistry requires a knowledge of complete periodic table to solve all the conceptual questions. Some common topics that requires to solve question are: HYBRIDISATION ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION ATOMIC NUMBER KNOWLEDGE OF WHICH elements exist where in periodic table.
