This course is for class 9th students of CBSE board.
They will learn about number system in which they often get confused between whole number, rational number, natural number,integers, irrational number.
How to plot numbers on number line, how to find rational numbers between Two numbers, How to use law of exponents. How to do rationalization, How to do addition, subtraction,multiplication and division of two numbers which are present in root. To study about irrational numbers, locate a number on number line which is present in root, Decimal expansion of a rational number and decimal expansion of an irrational number, what is recurring, terminating, non terminating non recurring decimal, to find an irrational between 2 rational numbers, visualization of a number on number line upto 5 decimal places They will learn about rule between a rational and irrational number i.e. the sum, difference, product or quotient of a rational with irrational number is irrational.
But if we do addition, subtraction, multiplication or division of two irrational numbers then their result may be rational or may be irrational.
They need to bring their protactors and compass to represent numbers in root on number line. They ought to bring their geometry box with them.
