Greetings. I would like to take up language translator as a career. I am currently working as an HR executive in Chennai, started just 6 months ago. I have no plans of moving out of Chennai or India in the near future. So if I am to learn any foreign language that will enhance my career, what would be a wise choice?

Of course it would be an additional qualification along with the knowledge of a foreign language.Having learnt a foreign language has its own importance ,it gives you a platform to interact with the people and enterprise of that respective countries.So you may go for it !

Stick to HR executive, its slow but steady and future is good. Being translator is good but no future growth as you will remain translator.
