Is it right to say in German "Wonach suchst du"? Is this the correct structure?

Structure is correct but it's not spoken like English. According to me " Was suchst du" will be the right question.

Yes, it is correct sentence that means 'What are you looking for?' You can also use 'Was suchst du?' (Objects) For a person you can use 'Wen suchst du?' means 'Whom are you looking for'.
