I have taught students how to speak correct English in OXFORD School of language and in BRZEE ACADEMY. I have always felt that the students need to be taught tenses in detail in the first week and also simultaneously they should be asked to practise speaking. While the speaking session is on, I take notes on the mistakes he/she has made and tell them to rectify them at the end of the session.I have seen changes in students speaking abilities in a week's time. I also encourage them to write so that they can think and learn to write in the correct way and then ask them to speak what they have written. It gives me immense pleasure to see the changes my students go through by speaking and writing in the right way.

"The Demo class was good, so we decided to go with the rest of the classes. In total, we took 10 classes and stopped after that because of following reasons, 1. I was expecting more one-to-one communication, but in a class of six students everyone will get hardly 7-8 minutes to speak. 2. Entire course plan was never shared with the student so that they can know what they will be gaining in the end. 3. In case a single student is missing a class, and you want to keep everyone on the same page then you should cancel the class instead of wasting an hourly paid class of everyone by not teaching anything new in that class. "

In the demo session, I had made it clear that there will be 6 students in one class. I also mentioned that there will be interactive activities in which students would be sharing their views. The time a student got to speak would depend on how much he/she wanted to share. Besides this, I had also mentioned that Tenses and Prepositions would be covered in the initial classes followed by other topics as these two are the most crucial topics of grammar. Apart from this, I had mentioned that we would practise fluency and learn vocabulary. Since Kanchan did only 10 classes, it was difficult to cover the entire syllabus in these classes. Moreover, when a single student is missing a class, I took that as an opportunity to practise fluency by indulging in conversation related games instead of taking up a new topic. I made sure that not only everyone gets benefited from the class but also the absentee doesn't miss an important topic instead of cancelling the class. In addition to grammar, Spoken English has to cover vocabulary and fluency in conversation. I ensured that students are taught not only grammar but also other components to improve their communication skill which could not be covered in 10 classes taken by Kanchan.

To score band 9, you should have a good command on basic grammar, and you should also have a good collection of idioms and decent vocabulary to excel in speaking. In writing, you should know about linking words, complex, compound and conditional sentences.
