In the mains examination every individual need to write any local language which is of qualifying in nature . You need to practice writing in the Devanagari script. After clearing Prelims, while preparing for Mains, side by side you need to prepare for Local language, in your case, Hindi, in that basic Opposites, synonyms , Essays , Translate English to Hindi, Hindi to English will be asked, precise writing will also be asked. Get a good Hindi UPSC book available in Rajender Nagar, or online. go through them nicely, revise and attempt 5 to 6 last year's question paper. Remember, Essays are the most easiest way to score marks, since this is qualifying only 33%. But do not take it lightly, I have seen people not being selected because of language paper.
