Hi

So do you know which other country speaks Hindi as its official language? It's Fiji. During their colonial authority over Fiji and India, the British imported laborers from India. The language they spoke became known as Fijian Hindustani or Fijian Baat as soon as these immigrants began settling in Fiji. The Indians spoke varied Hindi dialects and were from different regions of India. In Fiji, over 37% of the population is Hindi-speaking. The Hindi dialect in Fiji is a variation of the standard Hindi you would hear in New Delhi and other regions of India, albeit vocabulary from Fijian and English have been included into it.
