Well if you are a Beginner or Intermediate in Vocal it doesn't matter. I teach from Scratch to Professional level to earn Certification from Grade 1 to Grade 8 with Master class. You will learn only Western singing. Vocal or Singing is always a natural thing because we are not playing an instrument but we are building an Instrument within ourselves. It was very interesting for me to come across different people with very unique Voices. I always felt great and joy when my student sing their first song professionally through my Guidance. And as i mention most of the time, getting the right Mentor is very important in order to build a positive mindset and approach when learning a Vocal too because a wrong foundation will either spoil your Vocal cord/singing or will waste your time. Hey Raunak! You mentioned you wanna get yourself trained in western music (Singing) at your own home and the very line "What's my best option"(I think it should be what's the best option) well no worries I got your point of view.
Firstly, I wanna add that if you are prefering a home tutor for yourself I believe you're gonna learn and able to catch up fast comparing to the institute (not saying you can't learn in institute) but if you go for home class its gonna be 1 on 1 class and more concentration can be given yet one thing the fees are gonna be a bit higher than reaching out to institute.
Well getting back to the point, in singing whether its western or classical etc,most important thing is the breathing (breathing is the foundation in singing) if you wanna be a good vocalist you have to discipline yourself every day by indulging into daily vocal warm ups, breathing excercise (there are lots of vocal exercise though which will help you in different areas) well yah not forgetting in western singing pronounciation counts too cause there are many lines that pronouce a bit different to the English we normally speak, just need to get it and practice that.
Lastly, what I can suggest you is that get yourself a good tutor that can understand your voice and take you to the Genre of Music that really matches your Voice.

Different Musician's have different perspective according to their own experiences,but according to my view for your question mentioned above,i should say that the more passion and dedication you have for Music( includes any instrument) is what gonna lead you further in playing your particular instrument, so focus more on practice as we know "Practice makes a man perfect",look for the best Mentor to mould you ....and yah not forgetting about the phenomenal word called "PATIENCE" just embrace this!!!...Good luck
