How do I make a web app for a college using the ASP.NET framework?

Bit difficult question. Based on your question I understand you are just a beginner, so making you understand is bit difficult. This is completely depends on requirements. I am bit technical here rather than explaining why we need asp .net in particular because you just want to know whether you can use it or not. you can use it. take asp.net MVC as front end, mysql / sql server as back end based on budget.

What is the future of ASP.NET MVC developers?

Good Question. One can not retire with a single skill set. Companies are looking for multi skilled persons these days. So leave about future, you should have a primary skill set like asp.net MVC along with a database like Mysql or sql server, jquery, angular etc. Apart from these CRM knowledge and cloud... ...more
Good Question. One can not retire with a single skill set. Companies are looking for multi skilled persons these days. So leave about future, you should have a primary skill set like asp.net MVC along with a database like Mysql or sql server, jquery, angular etc. Apart from these CRM knowledge and cloud knowledge gives you edge over others. Data Science is also future of next generation. This is not different from what you are calling Asp.Net, it is a subject can be used in Asp.Net also. Only thing you need to start thinking broadly and learn open sources too like Python and R along with .net

What is the salary of ASP.Net MVC professionals?

There is no standard on this. It completely depends on the company / your experience / Current salary in india. Just for understanding, if you are fresher can start with 3.2L, 3 years exp 5L, 5-8 exp 9L, 8+ depends on negotiations

Can I make a web service using the PHP for a website that is written in an ASP.NET framework?

Web services are meant for cross language usage. you can use a web service written in asp.net in PHP
