He is a professional with considerable experience in the field of Quality Management. Academically, he is an M.Sc from Sri Venkateshwara University with specialization in Organic Chemistry, MBA from Kerala University with specialization in Operations Management and HR, MS in TQM from BITS Pillani. His academic Career is bright with first in the batch of all degrees. His professional experience includes services in public and Private sectors. He served in Bureau of Indian Standards for about 13 years and gained experience in Product Certification of various areas like Chemicals, Textiles, Metals and metal Products, Mechanical, Civil & Electrical Engineering Products, Consumer Products Etc. he also gained experience in System Certification and System implementation consultancy (ISO 9001) during his tenure with BIS. Before, joining BIS (far about 4 years) and after leaving BIS in 1991, he gained experience in Private Industry like Electrical Cables(Gangappa Cables Ltd), Chemicals & Textiles (SRF), implementing QA and TQM for about 17 Years. During this period he was a part of a TQM Team which led a multi-unit organization (SRF) to successfully challenge Deming prize in 2001. This effort required implementation of all TQM initiative, like 5S, POKA YOKE, KAIZEN, TPM, LEAN, Work place management, Policy Management, People Management etc.
Later, he gained experience in consultancy training for implementation of Six Sigma & TQM, working with a reputed consultancy organization. He has also been helping other consultancy organizations as a freelance consultant for implementing Quality Improvement Projects. His client include organizations like Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Earthmovers Ltd, Usha Martin, CEAT Tires & Organizations in Service Industry (IT, BPO’s etc.). He continues to provide consultancy to various organizations for Implementing Quality Management initiatives. He is a member of the Consultancy organization, Suvarna Consultants.
During his Career he also served as Academic Counsellor for Management Subjects (HR, Quantitative Analysis, Strategy Management etc.) for Indira Gandhi National Open University and for various others colleges having Management courses. He has also taken training of Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt & Black Belt courses, certified by TUV SUD
His Skills include training, Auditing, Counselling, Consultancy & facilitation of Projects.
He is also serving as a Lead Assessor for Accreditation of Certification Bodies (Both Product & Systems) for Accreditation bodies (National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), Dubai Accreditation Committee (DAC), International Accreditation Services (IAS) by doing assessments for these accreditation bodies he has gained further experience in Quality Management.
