Hi.
Scala is a scalable programming and pure OOPS language. It has become popular after Spark was built on the same.
It is one of the most suited languages for Spark programming and is even better than Python.
For learning Scala, you may need to have some pre-requisite knowledge of OOPS (Object-oriented programming).

Java is not a pure object oriented programming language. For a pure OOP language, the objects should be directly accessible for any operations. However in Java we need to necessarily reach objects through methods that are necessary.
Also Java supports primitive datatypes which are not objects.

Hello,
Here is the suggested order:
1- SQL
2- Hadoop
3- Python
4- R & Tableau
I have suggested SQL, Hadoop first as they are the primary Data storage layers or platforms. You can work storing and streaming data first.
The second suggestion was Python, as it is a programming language also used for Analytics. IT will give you a distinct advantage as a programmer not just for analytics or data science but for other areas too.
Finally, R & Tableau, as R is a specially built language for Stats, Analytics and related areas. The visualization for R couple with Tableau is ideal.

Full Stack is a composite skill set that combines the original front end and backend technologies. It also prominently includes the database. You should ideally look at the below:
- Web Development & Front End: HTML, CSS, JS & Jquery to begin with
- Frameworks: Angular or React or both
- Possibly MEAN Stack (MySQL/ Mongo, Express, Angular, Node) Wherein MySQL/ Mongo will get your foot into the databases.
- For the backend and application programming, the best choices would Java/ J2EE or Python or both.
- Complementary skills would be excellent have on Maven or GIT. Some testing with JUnit TestNG would be helpful to have but not compulsory.
Now you are skilled on something or the other from the complete stack.

Hi,
It is a good question given the newer scripting languages and adoption to multiple frameworks. However, I can confidently tell you it is never late to learn Javascript. Reasons being:
1- It is still among the top 5 languages the world chooses, and it stands with Java, Python, C etc.,
2- Leading and popular frameworks use JS as the backbone (popularly React, Bootstrap)
3- Although Google rapidly promotes typescript for Angular, a whole lot of the other landscape is still JS.
4- No matter how much ever coding one does with Java or Python the web continues to be prominently JS.
Given these, please note that learning JS alone will not help in the future. You may have to put efforts on multiple other complementary technologies.
