Strength of Materials (SOM), also termed as Mechanics of Solids, is related to the material's behaviour and ability to offer resistance when subjected to force. A basic understanding of Intermediate physics concepts and some basics from engineering mechanics is a prerequisite for this course. However, they will be revised as they appear.
This course is for Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Civil Engineering (A few Topics are not a part of this course).
