I'll give you some options which are decently good and not that difficult to get into:
- Vit Vellore (not Chennai or some other branch): Own entrance exam, entry by paying more also possible, very good campus and infrastructure, good placements (3–4lakh jobs on average like any other private university but almost guaranteed job), too many students, decent reputation. (It is worth if you get admission in first, second or third category at most in counselling, which would cost less than 20 lakhs for 4 years. Paying more for a btech is not worth it.)
- Manipal (main campus not Jaipur or Sikkim): Similar to VIT in most aspects
- Shiv Nadar University Noida: Relatively new, aptitude based entrance test along with PCM questions, no back door entry (85% in pcm or 120+ in jee for eligibility) so crowd won't be that undeserving, decent placements as it is new (Amazon Flipkart come, Dell cognizant HCl etc recruit in large numbers), very good campus and infrastructure, decent faculty for Cse(other streams like electrical have very good faculty), unique multidisciplinary curriculum, option for minor in any other stream (even non engineering stream like economics).
- Pes University Bangalore: Only good for Cse, good placements as in IT hub Bangalore, decent campus, own aptitude based entrance test along with PCM questions.
- LNMIIT jaipur, BITS Pilani, Thapar are also private but entry is difficult as they are the best. (Thapar entry is comparatively easy if you are from Punjab)
- If you don't get into any of these then Amity, Chandigarh University, SRM Chennai are okay-ish options only for CSE. Entry is easy. (Management quota also applicable)
