It has five different certification levels:- The most popular amongst these 5 is the “Foundation Certification”, which is the first move towards all higher level ITIL certification. Any beginner can get this certification, where as the higher level certifications might require some work experience.
- The exam for ITIL Foundation certification has a total of 40 multiple choice questions which are to be answered in 60 minutes. A candidate has to get least 26 of them right, i.e. 65%, in order to get the certification.
- The total cost of ITIL certification includes the training cost and examination cost. The training cost may vary with different training providers, but the examination cost might range between Rs 5,500 - Rs 7,000.
Candidates from a Non-IT Background
Anyone who doesn’t have an IT background can appear and even clear an ITIL exam. The probability of professional success may however vary. This is because ITIL is all about Information Technology.
