The strength of Materials is an Undergraduate Course dealing with stress-strain analysis for various mechanical members. A preliminary understanding of this subject is compulsory for studying Machine Design subject. Those who are aspiring to work in the fields of Mechanical Design/Robotics etc. must have a basic understanding of the concepts of this subject. In this course, few basic topics of Theory of Machines will be taught in GATE perspective with limited numerical (previous GATE). Hence this will be helpful for GATE aspirants.
The course study takes reference from GATE lecture notes (Self)
Topics of Interest will be:
1. Simple Stresses and Strains (2 hours)
2. Complex Stresses and Strains (3 hours)
3. SFD and BMD (2 hours)
4. Centroids and Moment of Inertia (2 hours)
5. Torsion (2 hours)
6. Shear Stresses in Beams (3 Hours)
7. Slopes and Deflection (3 hours)
8. Thin Cylinders (1.5 hours)
9. Column and Struts (1.5 hours)
Extra 5 hours for Doubts/Clarifications

Mode of Payment:
Rs 1000 advance to be paid before 02nd June 2018. Remaining amount to be paid immediately after first three classes. Account details will be posted personally to those who register for the course.
