Start practice for ear training; whether the scale is minor or major can be figured out through this only after learning the scale.

Want to learn Piano or Keyboard? I have got your back

Start by figuring out the song's melody notes and try to match its notes with both scales; you'll surely get the required scale. Another possible way is intuition by listening to the song. If the song is giving happy feels, it is the major scale, and a sad song indicates minor.

It depends on the chord progression you are playing over. If the chords are minor, then we have to play the minor scale and similarly for major. But that doesn't mean you can't choose a major scale over a minor. But if you are starting with soloing for the first time, apply this. E.g., For A minor chord,...

But that doesn't mean you can't choose a major scale over a minor. But if you are starting with soloing for the first time, apply this. E.g., For A minor chord, play A natural minor ( aeolian mode) or minor pentatonic scale. For A major, play A major scale (Ionian mode) or major pentatonic scale. I hope it helps.

It's effortless, sir. First, you have to decide on relatives notes of a particular song or tune. After that, you would get a third note which will be 'Ga'. If it's original, then it's major, and if it's half-scale down compare to actual, then it's minor.

Each major key uses a different set of notes (its major scale), just as it did in major scales, starting the minor scale pattern on a different note. A minor key is called the relative minor of the major key that has the same key.

Go wherever music takes you

Suppose you know the routes of scales, either major or minor or any scale. Just apply the routes after listening to the song more and more times. Those who love music can catch it quickly.

I believe the question itself has the answer. However, when you know the scale, then you should know the respective intervals. Apply it to qualify first, and then work on your music to enhance as you desire. I hope it clarifies.
