Have you wondered what is music about and how vast is the theory?
In classical there are 7 notes which is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Sa where which notes are komal and shudh depends on the raag. It is played in one scale. Whereas in Western music v make use of all 12 scales which starts from C D E F G A B C which is the C scale. In the same way there are other scales formed. The rule goes for the major scales which has sharp goes like :
i. No sharp: It means all white keys dat is the C major scale
ii. 1 sharp: One sharp that is the F# which is the G major scale, where the root note strts with G and one sharp note is used that is F# rest all white keys.
iii. 2 sharp: Which is the D major scale which consists of F# and C sharp.
iv. 3 sharp: Which is the A major scale which is C# F# and G#.
v. 4 sharps: Which is the E major scale that consists of C# F# G# D#.
vi. 5 sharps: Which is the B major scale that has C# F# G# D# and A#.
As you can see in this order of C G D A B something is common that is every sharp is carried forward to the next scale. These are the 5 scales which has sharps. We 'll discuss about the flats in the next lesson and also about the time signature and staff clefs.
