Creativity is all about putting in the effort to make your ideas come to life in the real world. Otherwise, they are just great ideas that remain trapped inside you. So whether you want to paint a picture, create a new app, build a great building or start a new business - being creative means: 1) Jotting down all the ideas that come to you. 2) Deciding which of them are practical enough to be executed by yourself or by collaborating with other people. 3) Putting in the effort to learn a new technique or skill to give shape to your ideas. 4) Learning what others are doing in your chosen field of specialisation. 5) Finding ways to be different from what they are offering. 6) Working hard to stay on top of your game even if others feel you have achieved a lot. 7) Remembering that 'genius' is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration!
