Being a technical guy, you will have an advantage over the marketing graduates; you can understand the product much better than them. All you have to do is to realise that we all are a salesman and have been doing it since our childhood. You don't need any certificate to sell a product all you need the complete product knowledge, what are the Unique selling proposition of your product and good communication skill. When I say communication skill it does not mean the spoken part of it, Communication skill means how you represent yourself and your product.
I would suggest doing a crash course on sales and marketing skills; that way, you will have the learning that you could have earned in the years of Management program and will have another edge over others.

You are a Diploma holder in "Electrical" and want to move to market & sales. Anything will be a right decision until and unless you put your full efforts to make into practical.
Now in the current market, everything is digitalised you may be knowing that. We are moving toward "Digital World". Just like from the Traditional market to the Digital market. But Traditional market never dies, but compared to it the digital market is already captured and going to attract more in the coming years.
So, learn the skill of digital marketing and try to use the knowledge of it in your marketing and sales to move to a higher ladder within a short period.
Being an engineer, digital marketing could be your best bet! The course requires a combination of technical and creative knowledge. It requires analytical skill building and optimizing the campaigns. With just a 6 months course you are get a job and start working in digital marketing without an MBA or a big investment.

You need to do some market research into what type of business and career paths are available. I mean it's challenging to find a solution in the short term.
