For MCSE: Messaging Certification the candidates have to face two exams. There are few requirements for the certification which an individual has to fulfill. The candidates should have a minimum experience of two years in Exchange server and six months of experience in Exchange server 2013 (or Exchange server 2010). This includes a minimum of two years of experience in Active directory, public certifications and the power shell.
The Messaging Certification validates the knowledge of mailbox operations, configuration of transport, unified messaging, security and data archiving. The certification consists of two exams. The two exams are Exam 341 and Exam 342 and the candidate has to pass both exams to get his Messaging Certification. The Exam 341 is for the core solutions on Microsoft Exchange server 2013 and Exam 342 is for the advanced solutions on Microsoft Exchange server 2013. But before taking the MCSE’s Messaging Certification, the candidate should have MCSA certification. After the MCSA certification the candidate becomes eligible for taking the MCSE’s Messaging Certification. It means that the candidates have to pass three exams i.e. MCSA certification exam and the two exams for the Messaging Certification.
MCSA i.e. Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate is a certification that validates the knowledge of Windows Server 2012. It is a certification required before appearing for the MCSE’s Messaging Certification.
MCSA certification Exam: This certification tests the knowledge of installation of Windows Server 2012, management and configuration of the advanced Windows Server 2012. The certification tests the knowledge of installation of the Windows server 2012, configuration of server features. The Installation of core services is also covered in this certification program. The installation of active directory and management of group strategy is included. Maintenance of the server, network services, installation of network server is also included in the MCSA certification program. In the last section of the certification, the management of availability is covered along with the files and storage solutions, configuration of network and active directory services and the configuration of access solutions.
All these aspects are included in the MCSA certification program. The skills required for performing such operations are evaluated in the certification exam. This certification is required by an individual if he is willing to earn the MCSE: Messaging Certification. After getting the MCSA certification the candidate is eligible to take the Messaging certification.
The MCSE: Messaging Certification program has two exams so, if a candidate wants to earn this certification he has to take both the exams. These are the Exam 341 and Exam 342, both the exams, check the different skills of the candidates.
Exam 341: The Exam 341 is designed to check the knowledge of core solutions of Microsoft Exchange Server. This exam evaluates the knowledge of installation and management of transport,installation of mail box and its management. The skills required in managing client access and Exchange infrastructure are also tested.
The planning of dumpster, shadow redundancy and records is covered under Exam 341. The designing of mail flow, domain secure and edge transport is included. The configuration of edge server, send-receive connectors is also covered. The candidates should develop the skills required in performing these tasks. So, if the candidate gains the knowledge for such tasks, then he can get the Messaging certification. The troubleshooting and monitoring skills are also required for this exam. The troubleshooting includes the tracking and protocol logs, troubleshooting of the transport architecture is covered.
The Installation and planning of database, storage -maintenance, planning of mailbox is covered in the exam. The management of client access and client connectivity’s knowledge is also required for the exam.
Exam 342: The Exam 342 is designed to check the knowledge of advanced solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server. There are many skills tested under this exam. The candidates prepare all these skills and get knowledge to get the Messaging certification. There are several operations need to perform under this section such as the configuration of unified messaging. The unified messaging covers the IP gateway, call routers and maintenance of availability. The assigning of dial plans for the user and security of voice mails. The troubleshooting skills are also evaluated in this exam. The troubleshooting of transport layer security, monitoring of calls and the call statistics and maintenance of quality of these troubleshooting services.
The other operations covered under this section are the database activation and customer’s node requirement fulfillment. The troubleshooting of site issues is also performed along with this operation. Apart from the troubleshooting for such operations the skills for advanced security purpose are also tested on this exam. The evaluation of smart cards, information right management and domain security. It includes the directory management, troubleshooting and security issues and configuration of pre licensing of access.
All these skills should be developed to get the Messaging Cerification. The candidates have to prepare for all the exams which is important because these exams altogether evaluated for the final outcome of the MSCE: Messaging Certification. There are many skills tested on these exams and after passing these exams the candidates get their credential which proves their knowledge of all these IT operations which are explained above. The MCSA certification is a series of three exams i.e. Exam 410,411 and 412. After clearing this series the candidate earn the MCSA certification, which is required if he wants to get the MCSE’s Messaging certification. So, the candidates have to prepare for the MCSA certification too. The basic knowledge of Windows server is evaluated and it is very important for an individual to have the knowledge of Windows server in order to get the MCSE’s Messaging Certification.
