Answer Suppose you have csv file of name location. You can see what is there in csv file using cat function like
cat > locations.csv Name,Address,City,State,ZIP Jane Doe,123 Main St,Whereverville,CA,90210 John Doe,555 Broadway Ave,New York,NY,10010
Now there is command called as mongoimport to load csv data into mongodb.
Format to run this query is shown as below.
mongoimport -d mydb -c things --type csv --file locations.csv --headerlineNow connect to MongoDB server and check the database name as db.
> use mydb
> db.things.find()
and it will give following output.
{ "_id" : ObjectId("4d32a36ed63d057130c08fca"), "Name" : "Jane Doe", "Address" : "123 Main St", "City" : "Whereverville", "State" : "CA", "ZIP" : 90210 }
