Deepanjjan Roy

Deepanjjan Roy, a former 'banker', has transformed into a passionate 'storyteller'. After a successful career spanning seven years in the financial industry across three continents, he bravely made a career shift at the age of 30 to pursue his lifelong dream. He underwent comprehensive training in screenwriting at Whistling Woods International, under the esteemed mentorship of veteran screenwriter Mr. Anjum Rajabali.

Deepanjjan has had the privilege of collaborating with industry legends such as the renowned 'showman' Subhash Ghai, acclaimed filmmaker Ram Gopal Verma, and the esteemed Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi.

Over the past two years, Deepanjjan has immersed himself in the television industry, working as an assistant to esteemed showrunner Mr. Zama Habib. He has contributed to the success of hit shows like Nimki Mukhiya, Nimki Vidhayak, and Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein. He has also played a pivotal role in various Writer's Rooms, demonstrating his creative prowess. Recently, he led a small writer's room for a crime series, guided by the creative expertise of Mr. Sanjay Chouhan.

Deepanjjan's talent has been recognized through his recent selection as a finalist in the SWA Script Contest 2023, out of a pool of 700 submissions. His expertise extends beyond his own work, as he also serves as a visiting faculty member at Whistling Woods International and NMIMS JDSoLA, imparting his knowledge and conducting engaging screenwriting workshops.

With a diverse range of experiences and a relentless passion for storytelling, Deepanjjan Roy continues to make his mark in the world of screenwriting, leaving an indelible impact on the industry.
