Whole syllabus will be covered in this class and once in a week , there will be doubt clearing session for 3 hrs. we will be focused more on such topics from which most of questions come into exams. I am providing some sample questions below which generly come in any type of exams.
1.Define the term 'crystal lattice.â??
2. Give suitable reason for the followingâ?? (a) Ionic solids are hard and brittle. (b) Copper is malleable and ductile.
3. Explain : (a) List two differences between metallic and ionic crystals. (b)Â Â Sodium chloride is hard but sodium metal is soft.
4. Why are amorphous solids isotropic in nature?
5. (i) In SO2 , the two sulphur-oxygen bonds are identical. Explain why? (ii) In NO3 â?? ion all the three Nâ??O bonds are identical. Why?
6. The boiling point of PH3 is lesser than NH3 . Why?
7. NO2 dimerises to form N2O4 . Why?

9. Explain why halogens are strong oxidising agents
10. Bond dissociation enthalpy of F2 is less than that of Cl2 . Why?
11. Draw the structure of H2S2O8 and find the number of Sâ??S bond if any.
